Overview
1) What Flover Is
- Flover lets Users send timed, meaningful messages ("Flove Notes") to chosen contacts ("Recipients")—often when a flight lands. Our promise: simple, private, consent-based moments of connection.

2) Users & Recipients
- User: Creates a Flover account and composes Flove Notes for Recipients.
- Recipient: Receives Flove Notes only after providing consent. Recipients can also become Users by creating their own account.
- Partners: Organizations (e.g., airlines or hotels) that may send approved messages where the Recipient has provided consent.
Data
3) Information We Collect
- From Users: name, email, verified phone number, chosen Recipient details (name/number), message content, and event details (e.g., flight numbers/dates).
- From Recipients: phone number (provided by a User or Partner) and your consent/opt-out status.
- Service/Technical Data: logs, diagnostics, and delivery metadata for reliability, abuse prevention, and security.

4) How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver Flove Notes at the right moment (e.g., when a flight lands)
- Operate, secure, and improve the service; comply with carrier and legal requirements
- Provide support and detect/prevent abuse or spam
Consent & Messaging
5) SMS/MMS Program Terms (Toll-Free Messaging)
- Program Description: With your permission, Flover can deliver automated, personal messages ("Flove Notes") by SMS/MMS on behalf of a User you know (or an approved Partner). Messages may include text and media.
- Optional Program: SMS/MMS messaging is optional and not required to use Flover. You can use Flover's core features without receiving text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using Flover.
Important: Using Flover does not require SMS participation. However, text-messaging consent is required to access SMS-based features like flight updates and Flove Notes.
- How You Opt In: During signup (or later in Settings), you may choose to receive SMS/MMS by explicitly opting in (e.g., checkbox/toggle). You'll then receive a one-time text asking you to reply "YES" to confirm. Message frequency varies based on sender activity. Msg & Data rates may apply.
- Opt-Out / Stop: You can stop messages at any time by replying "STOP." After you send STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation and no longer receive messages from that sender. You may re-subscribe later by replying "START." Turning off SMS does not impact your ability to continue using Flover.
- Help: For help, reply "HELP" or email care@flover.app.
Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may vary by carrier and location.
- Per-Sender Consent: Your consent applies to the specific person or partner you approve (e.g., "Alex" or a named Partner). If a new sender invites you, you'll receive a separate request and can choose to reply YES or ignore it.
- Consent Records: Flover maintains timestamped opt-in/opt-out logs to comply with carrier rules and applicable law.
Controls
6) Preferences & Blocking
- Block a specific sender (User or Partner) by replying STOP to that thread; you remain subscribed with other approved senders.
- Manage SMS preferences in Settings or contact care@flover.app.
- Where available, a secure web portal will let you view approved senders and manage subscriptions.
Sharing
7) Data Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We share limited data with processors (e.g., messaging/flight-status providers) only to deliver the service.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention & Security
8) Retention & Security
- We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use encryption, access controls, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure—please avoid highly sensitive content in messages.
International
9) International Use
- If you access Flover from outside the U.S., you understand your data may be processed in the U.S. (with different data-protection laws). For certain regions (e.g., EU/UK), additional rights may apply; contact us to exercise them.
Terms
10) Terms of Service
- Lawful, consent-based use: Users may only message people who have provided prior express consent via Flover's opt-in request. No spam, harassment, or illegal use.
- Abuse prevention: We may pause or terminate accounts to prevent fraud (including SMS traffic pumping) or address carrier complaints.
- Service "as-is": Flover is provided "as is," without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited.
- Changes: We may update these terms/policies; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
